As part of their annual countrywide concert tour, MTN Joyous Celebration-renowned multi award winning Gospel Ensemble visited Gugulethu Square Shopping Centre on July 01. There was absolute joy, as more than 700 Gugulethu Square Shoppers were given a small taste of what to expect at the Concert, held at Gradwest Casino on July 2nd.


A bit of background:

Kaizer Chiefs one of the biggest football teams in South Africa, visited Gugulethu Square on 14 January 2011 as they were playing in Cape Town on the day. The visit was organised in conjunction with Vodacom Gugulethu, main Sponsor of the Kaizer Chiefs team.

Orlando Pirates one of the biggest football teams in South Africa visited Gugulethu Square on 16 March 2011, as they were playing Ajax Cape Town that evening. This visit was organised as a follow up to the successful visit by Kaizer Chiefs on 14 January 2011. These teams are historic rivals and command an enormous following in Cape Town and Gugulethu.

This again attracted hundreds of visitors to Gugulethu Square, who were entertained and given lots of prizes on the day.
